I’m a 2 time Trump voter and I’ll be a 3 time Trump voter if given the chance. But I dislike his vaccine stance, even to this day. He’s still pimping the “vaccine” he developed. He still won’t say it was a mistake. He will never say it was a mistake because he’s too arrogant to do that.
Trump really isn’t a thinker, he more of a gut feel and relationship guy. I don’t really think he got played with the shots as much as he didn’t listen to dissenters. He had Dr. Scott Atlas around for a while but he trusted Fauci, Birx, Redfield more. He trusted Pence too. Big mistake. Actually Trump made so many mistakes trusting people he should not have. This was probably his biggest weakness.
Trump did a lot of things I liked and some things I didn’t. He wasn’t great on 2A issues (bump stock ban). It says SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED motherfucker. And it means exactly that! But of course every exception I take with Trump, literally anyone else is way worse.
So for me, Trump is pretty good but not perfect. He’s not GEOTUS and he’s definitely not playing 4D chess. He probably has pretty good instincts but also seems like the type of person who is most convinced by the last person he talked with. Trump should never be confused with an intellectual. But he wants most of the things I want and that has to be good enough. He Warp Sped the death shots but he also never required that anyone get them.
I agree with you 1000%. The Warp Speed disaster and his 2A agnosticism infuriated me. Nice guy, America First, gets shit done... but vulnerable to whim and charisma.
