Perhaps it's best not to be too hasty and blame Substack for what Stripe does. I don't get paid for Substack writing but and I've been creating content a long time and been paid by half a dozen sites using PayPal, Payoneer, and other ways. Substack can offer writers other payment methods, if they choose to.
