"Tlaib is worried that ESLs will allow Kroger’s stores to “use customer data to build personalized profiles of each customer” in such a way that it will be able to “determine the maximum price of goods customers are willing to pay.”

Kroger is already using customer data to build personalized profiles of their customer. If you use an unregistered Kroger card and then pay with your credit card, my *guess* is that the company can then link your purchases to your identity.

If you use a registered Kroger card and/or Kroger digital coupons they already have a file.

Use $$$$

As for the QR stickers... a lot of people over 55 may not want to use them. Over 65, probably won't want to use them. Plus... you need a smart phone. Is Kroger discriminating against people who don't have a smart phone? When did you ever need to have technology to shop in the past?

The QR code idea is enough to drive people away from Kroger. As for the facial recognition...looks like it's time for the N95 mask and a ball cap.
