OH HELL NO (2)
F#ck the purveyors of false narratives in government school & higher education curricula.
Remind me why it's wrong for a governor to prohibit the teaching of falsehoods in gov't-run schools & not only acceptable, but celebrated, to teach ideologies that cause division, depression, confusion & interfere w/critical thinking... 1/5
...And force conformity, group-think & adhesion to ideas that are non-sensical & have no basis is science, history, or human nature. It's within the purview of to filter out harmful material that arguably harms a students' mental, if not physical, health. 2/5
It's repugnant that a governor like would consider curating as book-banning -- in light of his own state's list of banned books. Instead of using these as teaching tools, he denies students the history lesson. newsweek.com/kill-mockingbi… 3/5
Furthermore, his activism in support of queer theory (not to be confused w/gay rights), which seeks to blast all biological & anthropological norms & scientific realities, in order to usher in more self-hatred, hatred of the other & hatred of parents, should be alarming. 4/5
And if that's not enough, it gets worse. States run by administrations who see their purpose as controlling behavior -- social engineering -- will punish you if you don't subscribe to the speech they COMPEL from you. This is what authoritarianism looks like. 5/5
This is an excellent development for kids. One fewer day in government school is a one more day without Marxist Clown World madness & mental abuse. Also, don't tell us what the country's priority is, Randi -with-an-i.
Like so many others across the country, @SEIULocal99 & @UTLAnow are calling for management to come to the table fairly & get an agreement with teachers & school support personnel. That will send a huge message that it's not just what we demand, it's a priority for the country. https://t.co/UagbwCb6Yy

DEI will end up in the trash-bin of history alongside other racism and identity politics that cause more harm than good, and is having a deservedly bad week.
BREAKING: Iowa has halted the implementation of all new DEI programs in its public university system, pending a "comprehensive study and review." Meanwhile, state legislators have introduced a bill to abolish the DEI bureaucracy altogether. Our movement is picking up steam.
