My email to an LA City councilman & why it matters to you
Can Joe Buscaino end the 'passport' mandate?
This ‘EXCLUSIVE’ about the Oscars triggered me just a ‘lil.
And I followed up with “Are you making accommodations for those who choose not to take the drug? That must be it. Must be nice.”
Demanding answers on Twitter is stupid. I will admit that.
Parents are pissed too.
BOTTOM LINE: This bullshit has to end. And to that end, I emailed one of the only two sane council members. We have 15 total. The deck is seriously stacked.

Dear Councilman Buscaino,
I'm writing to you about this matter, even though I live in CD4. It's just that writing to Raman would be utterly useless -- perhaps even counterproductive.
Also, since I know you support ending the vaccine-proof mandate, as it relates to indoor activities, I thought you'd be a more sympathetic ear.
When I read that the Oscars would not require attendees to show proof of vaccination at the Dolby in the City of LA, my head almost exploded. Word on the street is that many of them refused the shot because they are the 'Whole Foods' type and/or because they have seen colleagues suffer from injuries.
Whatever the case -- this exemption is an outrage. I hate using that word. But it's never been more apt. The pratice is hideous and morally repugnant to begin with...especially because people aren't exactly in compliance (patrons and proprieters). In fact, this policy endangers public health because a guy brewing a virus, but who has a card is going to hit the bar and hack all over everyone, if he's bored and wants beer.
Councilman, we cannot allow them to get a pass on the 'passport,' while the residents are required to show papers. If anything flies in the face of 'equity,' this is it. Never mind the maskless mayor and governor at SoFi. The vaccine proof requirement is fare more serious and far more insidious -- especially from a historical perspective.
Thank you for reading this. You had my vote before you even decided to run, by the way.
Respectfully,
Emily Barsh

Why does this matter to you? Because if LA manages to keep itself from falling into the ideological abyss — there’s hope for the other bruised and battered blue cities run by Left-wing lunatics.
