Remember the issue here is rentseeking. The classic “jobs vs efficiency” issue. When conversations turned to off-gird solutions for critical infrastructure—Roman Catholic coordinated labor unions when apeshit.

I know-I know it’s usually best not to disparage however it’s really obvious who is fucking around and we need to be clear about certain things.

Grid infrastructure is mostly antiquated technology now. Most home use rarely if ever require power consumption to justify the gird electricity of yesteryear. Solar panels really do cover most energy usage requirements for really almost all homes—particularly those with mineral wool insulated structures.

[ Also—liquid nitrogen pneumatic alternators are show substantial performance in bulk energy generation and storage for industrial and agricultural uses. ]

Really fuck them—again infrastructure spending is a pussygrab—everything is cheap now—that’s a good thing and consumers are finally able to benefit from decades of investment in research and development.

This grid failure was caused by oscillations in the earth’s electrical field, shush is a result of the weakening magnetic fields
